This hotel has a great location, close to Red Square and just behind the Bolshoi Theatre. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars close by. Although classified as five-star hotel, we feel it is more a 4- star plus. This historic hotel was built in 1876 and was once part of the Hotel Budapest. There are 133 rooms of 4 categories spread over 6 floors (standard, VIP standard, VIP deluxe and VIP apartment - VIP rooms have access to VIP lounge). Rooms are a decent size and you can choose from rooms with bath or shower-only. The hotel has a small pool, gym and sauna open from 7am until 10 pm. They serve an excellent buffet breakfast with a wide choice of hot and cold dishes and a glass of sparkling wine is sure to get your sightseeing of Moscow off to a good start.
