Fly to Stockholm and collect your hire car before starting your drive to Falun in the Dalarna region.Falun is famous for its classic red houses painted with Falu Rodfarg, made from byproducts of the historic copper mine.

Falun, the historical capital of Dalarna is a charming town known for its cultural heritage and striking red landscapes. The town is most famous for the Falun Copper Mine, a UNESCO World Heritage site that shaped Sweden's industrial history. Why not explore the mine's underground tunnels and learn about centuries of mining traditions at the museum ( min age 3yrs).
Today why not head to Lake Runn and rent a canoe or paddle board, or take a small boat trip and enjoy the summer vibes of the lake. Perhaps a lakeside walk is more your scene. We suggest taking a picnic lunch with you to enjoy on one of the beaches, soaking up the Swedish sunshine. There are active adventures to be had at Lugnet: hiking, biking or zipline experiences.
