Visit Gothenburg Museum to see the country's only exhibited Viking ship, Äskekärrsskeppet, and other fascinating exhibitions, as well as a visit to The World of Volvo Museum by journeying through history from 1927 until present day and learn all about Volvo's history and heritage. In summer it bursts with colours and scents with a charming old-stone staircase that leads down towards the lake. In the afternoon, the vast lake and its archipelago of islands are perfect for paddling. Why not rent a canoe or kayak and explore calm bays or venture into more open waters. (B)

Why not rent some bikes from reception and enjoy a family cycle ride to Spiken fishing harbour. A perfect spot to buy an ice cream and look at the small shops there. Alternatively, for a relaxing water experience join a guided boat trip. A great way to see the archipelago scenery, reach remote islets, and observe wildlife.
