After breakfast, head to Oi-Qaragai Mountain Resort, also known as Lesnaya Skazka, nestled near the Oi-Qaragai Gorge about 40 km from Almaty in Ile-Alatau National Park. Sitting at 1650m, it’s surrounded by serene coniferous forests, offering excellent skiing and snowboarding opportunities. For a unique twist, try renting an electric Moonbike - a blend of snowmobile and e-bike - for an eco-friendly way to explore the snowy landscape. Today offers your last chance to explore the slopes at Ak-Bulak Ski Resort, nestled in the heart of the Zailiysky Alatau mountains. The resort features 14 km of varied runs, including gentle slopes perfect for beginners and the thrilling “Dombra” trail for more adventurous skiers. Ski through forested freeride gullies that climb to 2,664 m, surrounded by pine and birch woodlands.
