9 Day Tour, from £4325 per person

K-beauty has set a global standard. From skincare routines to wellness treatments, Korean beauty has gained a huge international following for its innovation, attention to detail, and focus on long-term skin health. This itinerary offers a chance to see where it all comes from. Based in Seoul, the trip combines the city’s cultural highlights with some of the experiences behind Korea’s beauty and wellness culture, from scalp treatments and personal colour analysis to traditional tea therapy and spa rituals.

The itinerary is paced to give you time to enjoy the experiences rather than rush through them. Alongside the beauty and wellness elements, you’ll visit places that define Seoul, including Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village and the creative neighbourhoods that shape the city’s modern identity. An overnight stay at Geumsunsa Temple offers a different side of Korea, with meditation and Buddhist rituals set against the calm surroundings of Bukhansan Mountain. You’ll also learn to make kimchi with a local expert and explore the world of Korean herbal medicine. With guided touring, private transfers where needed, and carefully arranged experiences throughout, everything runs smoothly so you can focus on enjoying the journey.

SEOUL K-BEAUTY EXPERIENCE
Scalp Treatment

This day focuses on the beauty culture that has made Korea one of the world’s most influential skincare destinations. Begin with a specialised herbal scalp treatment at Eco Jardin. Korean beauty routines often begin with scalp health, and this multi step therapy uses botanical ingredients and steam techniques to cleanse, nourish and stimulate healthy hair growth.

Later, take part in a personal colour analysis consultation, a popular Korean beauty practice that identifies the colours best suited to your natural skin tone. The results often influence everything from makeup choices to clothing and accessories. Continue to Seongsu District, one of Seoul’s most creative neighbourhoods. Former warehouses and factories have been transformed into design studios, fashion boutiques and flagship stores for emerging K-beauty brands. It is an ideal place to see how Korea’s beauty industry continues to evolve. (B)

DAY 5
SEOUL TO GEUMSUNSA TEMPLE
Singing Bowl Ceremony

Leave the city behind this afternoon and travel to Geumsunsa Temple, located on the wooded slopes of Bukhansan Mountain. Although only a short distance from the capital, the atmosphere here feels completely different. The temple stay introduces a slower pace of life centred on mindfulness, simplicity and balance, principles that also sit at the core of Korean wellness culture.

After an introduction to temple life, explore the temple grounds and learn about the role Buddhism has played in shaping Korean philosophy and everyday practices. Dinner follows the principles of temple cuisine. Meals are plant-based and prepared with seasonal ingredients, reflecting the belief that food should nourish both the body and the mind. The evening includes chanting rituals and a meditation session accompanied by singing bowls, offering a rare opportunity to experience the contemplative traditions that continue to influence Korean wellbeing. TEMPLE LIFE AND KOREAN COOKING
Kimchi-Making

Wake early to experience the quiet rhythm of temple life. Join the resident monks for morning chanting and meditation, practices designed to cultivate mental clarity and balance. After breakfast, take part in a Sunmudo session, a form of moving meditation that combines controlled breathing with gentle martial arts-inspired movements.

Later, return to Seoul, where the afternoon introduces another important part of Korean wellness culture: fermented food. Join a hands-on cooking class focused on kimchi and traditional vegetable preservation. Under the guidance of a local expert, learn the techniques used to create several varieties of kimchi while gaining insight into the fermentation process that gives the dish its distinctive flavour. Fermented foods such as kimchi are widely valued in Korea for their probiotic benefits. A healthy gut is often considered an important foundation for overall well-being and is frequently linked to clear, balanced skin in Korean beauty philosophy. The experience concludes with a shared meal featuring the dishes you have prepared. (B,D)
