The city hosts key LGBTQ+ attractions and the Asian LGBTQ+ Pride Parade, symbolising gender equality. The Rainbow Sightseeing Bus Tour offers a dynamic way to explore Taipei’s LGBTQ+ history and culture. The 2024 tour featured three routes: Cultural, Music, and Movie, visiting landmarks like 228 Peace Park, Ximen Red House, and iconic LGBTQ+ film locations. The tour starts with a 9am hotel pick-up, beginning at the National Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, a symbol of Taiwan’s history and culture. Next, visit Nanmen Morning Market to explore fresh produce, snacks, and local delicacies. Enjoy lunch at Din Tai Fung in Taipei 101, famous for its xiao long bao. Head to the Taipei 101 Observatory for panoramic city views, followed by a stroll through the Xinyi Shopping District with its high-end stores and cafés. Your day begins at 2pm with a hotel pick-up. First, visit the Rabbit God Temple, a spiritual place for the LGBTQ+ community seeking blessings for love and well-being. Then, head to the Xiahai City God Temple, known for its matchmaking powers. Take a short walk to Dadaocheng, a historic district with preserved architecture, and explore Dihua Street’s herbal shops, tea houses, and local vendors. Enjoy a sauna experience, with a recommendation from your guide. In the evening, visit Ningxia Night Market to savour a variety of Taiwanese street food. (B)
Start your day around noon with a pick-up from your hotel. Begin with a visit to the National Palace Museum, one of Taiwan’s most important cultural institutions, housing an extensive collection of Chinese artefacts, many of which date back thousands of years. After exploring the museum’s impressive exhibitions, head to the Thermal Valley, a natural hot spring area located in Beitou. The site is known for its distinctive sulphuric hot springs and steam vents, creating a unique and atmospheric environment. Spend time soaking in the therapeutic hot springs before continuing your journey to Shilin Night Market, one of Taipei’s largest and liveliest night markets. Here, you can explore a variety of street food stalls, local shops, and entertainment options, rounding off the day with a taste of Taipei’s vibrant nighttime culture. (B)
You will have the day free before heading to the X-Formosa 2025 Black Arena at around 10pm, with your ticket already included. More details will be provided as they become available. Formosa Pride Rainbow Music Festival 2025 in Taipei will take place from Friday, 24th October to Sunday, 26th October, drawing around 10,000 partygoers from across Asia and beyond. As part of the annual Taiwan Pride celebrations, the festival will feature an exciting lineup of live performances by international DJs, local singers, and orchestras, along with performances by dancers and drag queens. The event includes three main night parties - Black Circuit, White Ball, and Woof Party - and a tea dance. While the full schedule is still to be confirmed, you can expect an unforgettable weekend of music, dancing, and celebration. (B)
Head to the Taiwan Pride Parade, a key event in Formosa Pride, which began in 2003 and has grown into one of Asia's largest LGBTQ+ celebrations. Despite the 2020 pandemic, the parade continued, demonstrating the resilience of Taiwan's LGBTQ+ community. The event celebrates freedom, equality, and acceptance, drawing participants from around the world. In the evening, attend the White Ball, a signature Pride party. Your ticket is included, offering an unforgettable experience with music, entertainment, and vibrant performances by international DJs. It’s the perfect way to end a day of celebration. (B)
Enjoy a free day to explore Taipei at your leisure, visiting local attractions or discovering hidden gems. In the late afternoon, head to the WOOF party from 1600hrs to 2100hrs, featuring a live show and music (details to be announced). Dress in Jungle Green and Camouflage to match the theme. Later, attend the Pink! event from 2230hrs to 0400hrs, with live performances and music (details to be announced). Dress in Pink for the night and join in the vibrant party atmosphere. It’s a day filled with fun, dancing, and unforgettable energy.
