Tour Itinerary
Fly to Kuusamo and transfer to Iisakki Glass Village (approx. 30 min). Upon arrival, receive the programme schedule before dinner. Cold weather gear is provided either upon arrival or the next day. (D)
Wilderness Snowmobile safari: set off on an exhilarating snowmobile safari, beginning with a thorough safety briefing and clear driving guidance from your expert guide. Then venture into the heart of a breathtaking snowy forest, gliding through pristine winter landscapes and fully immersing yourself in the magic of the season.

Visit to the authentic reindeer farm & short reindeer ride: transfer to a traditional reindeer farm and step into an authentic Arctic experience. Glide through the snow on a peaceful reindeer sleigh ride of approximately 300 metres, then get up close as you feed these gentle animals. Gather around an open fire to savour a sausage, a sweet pastry, and coffee or tea, while listening to a local reindeer herder share fascinating stories about Arctic nature and the annual cycle of reindeer life.

Sauna Tour - Finnish Sauna experience: step into the warmth of Iisakki’s lakeside sauna and discover a truly authentic Finnish tradition. Join a local sauna guide who shares insights into the origins and significance of sauna life in Finland, then follow their lead as they guide you through the rituals inside the sauna. Embrace the full Finnish tradition and, if you’re feeling brave, take a refreshing dip in an ice hole.

Husky Safari: arrive at the husky farm and meet your guide, who introduces essential safety instructions for your safari. Learn the basics of driving your sledge, then head out to meet your eager husky team, ready to lead you through the snowy wilderness. Set off on an exhilarating husky ride and feel the thrill as the dogs carry you through pristine Arctic landscapes.
Snowshoe hike to search for the Northern Lights: step into a true Arctic adventure and explore the winter wilderness on snowshoes. Look up to a sky filled with bright stars and, with a little luck, witness the colourful Northern Lights dancing above. Take a break to warm up with a hot drink while your guide shares fascinating stories about the aurora and the surrounding Arctic nature.

Enjoy a day at leisure and make the most of the surrounding winter landscape. Strap on snowshoes or forest skis and head out to explore the peaceful scenery at your own pace, gliding through snow-covered trails and quiet forests.
In the evening, sit down to a typical local menu served in the beautiful restaurant Kontioluola. Savour regional specialities such as fresh fish from the lakes, Lappish-style reindeer, and berries hand-picked from the Finnish forests.
