Known internationally as the birthplace of Jesus there is a lot more to Bethlehem than meets the eye. A visit to Manger Square with the Basilica of the Nativity built over the grotto in which Jesus was born is a must but visitors can also explore the traditional Arab city with its bustling streets. Bethlehem has more recently become famed for the graffiti daubed on the separation wall that cuts through the city and is home to three Refugee Camps from 1948. The nearby village of Battir is a delightful escape to rural life.
