The steep gorges of Wadi Ghul, better known as the Grand Canyon of Oman, are just as amazing and at times quite scary as its namesake. The short trail leading to the viewpoint is not for the faint-hearted, but is definitely rewarding. From the viewpoint, you can look down the vertiginous drop into the 1000m deep canyon. The famous Balcony Walk is also nearby.
