Jeonju, a UNESCO City of Gastronomy since 2012, is renowned for its rich history and vibrant food scene. The city has several cultural attractions, including the Hanok Village, which has over 700 traditional dwellings, the Gyeonggijeon Shrine, the Jeondong Catholic Cathedral, and the Jaman Mural Village. It is where Korea's signature meal originated, bibimbap, which is best served with mung bean sprout jelly. Jeonju is also an excellent starting point for visiting South Korea's southern regions, thanks to its strategic location amongst rich landscapes and easy access to adjacent peaks such as Naejangsan and Maisan.
