Karlstad Holidays

This picturesque town is located on the banks of Sweden's longest river: the Klarälven River, and sprawls down towards the shores of Vänern, Sweden's largest lake.

Karlstad boasts gorgeous parks and waterways and plenty of outdoor cafes, ideal for indulging in an afternoon fika. It is the largest city in Värmland and is known for being one of the sunniest cities in Sweden. Due to its large student population, it also has a lively nightlife.

It is a wonderfully compact city to explore by foot and makes an excellent base for those looking to partake in the many outdoor activities of the region.
