Maniitsoq is a reasonable sized town by Greenland standards with its population of 2,800 and is a stop on coastal journey of the MV Sarfaq Ittuk. There is even a bus service servicing the town, which is dotted with steps connecting the streets with the many rocky hills. The town’s name is even translated as “The Uneven Place”, and is home to some of the harshest landscape on the west coast.
