Qaanaaq Holidays

Qaanaaq, the world’s most northern settlement, is also called Thule. In 1953 the village was forced to move 100km further north to make way for the American Thule Air Base. It is not very easy to reach this settlement and there are limited accommodation options available. Qaanaaq has a little over 600 inhabitants, mainly hunters. They hunt by boats during the summer period and by dogsled in the winter.
