Northern Lights Coach Tour

The northern lights, also known as the aurora borealis, can be seen dancing around in fantastic colours across the northern skies between late September and early April; an excursion in search of this natural phenomenon is must on any winter holiday to Iceland. With pick up from your hotel or guesthouse, this coach tour will take you away from the bright lights of the city to help maximise your changes of seeing this spectacular natural wonder.

Northern lights tours take you away from the city lights in order to avoid light pollution, which interrupts any sighting of the Aurora. Because of this, we advise you to walk carefully in remote, unlit areas that could be icy or slippery underfoot. A good pair of hiking boots is recommended for this excursion, and plenty of warm, waterproof clothing. We find that layering is a good option.
