NIPPONIA HOTEL Iga Ueno Castle Town

Located in Iga Ueno’s historic castle town, the NIPPONIA Hotel Iga Ueno Castle Town sits within walking distance of Iga Ueno Castle, Ueno Park and the Ninja Museum. Opened in 2020, the hotel occupies a collection of restored Edo-period buildings, including former merchant houses and a historic ryokan, now protected as cultural assets.

The hotel has 10 individually designed rooms, each set in a separate structure and reflecting the character of the original building. Rooms feature modern comforts such as Simmons beds, ensuite bathrooms, climate control and carefully restored traditional details including wooden latticework and tatami elements.
