In the south of the Dana Nature Reserve is the Feynan Eco-lodge, built in an area where copper has been extracted for thousands of years and archaeology tells of a history dating to 10,000BC. The lodge has beautifully designed rooms with natural furnishings. Hot water and electricity for the en suites are provided by solar power and the rooms like the rest of the lodge are lit by candles at night.
The restaurant provides wonderful home cooked vegetarian food and after dinner you can head to the roof to look at the stars through the lodge’s power telescope. Spend your days walking and cycling in the area as well as visiting the local villages and craft shops.
