Castle Daniel

Castle Hotel Daniel is in Tălișoara, a small village just over 30 miles from Brașov.

This delightful hotel, more like a mansion than a traditional castle, used to belong to a noble family named Daniel hence the name. These days the welcoming Racz family own and have lovingly restored this property. 

In the main building, they have 8 rooms and each one is unique. There is a room called “The Room of Secrets” because, during the renovations, a secret room was discovered here, which is now a luxury bathroom. One of our favourite rooms is the "Swan Room”, which has a lovely canopy bed and is decorated in stunning hues of yellow, brown and dark red. The coat of arms of the Daniel family was a swan with an arrow in its neck, which is now the logo of the hotel.

Another room is called “The Gate of the Castle”, where the former gate used to be. The marks of the gate are still visible and the niche for the gatekeeper that has been turned into a fireplace. Constantinople Room has a pretty special fresco from the 17th century, which was discovered under a 19th-century coat of paint. 

The hotel also features a delightful restaurant offering the finest of Transylvanian recipes. They also organise a range of excursions and experiences in the local area. 

The hotel also has renovated an additional building offering 12 new rooms and a new cellar spa with a beautiful swimming pool, hot tubs and sauna with treatments available to book.
