Barö Hotel Summer Break
Escape to Finland on this summer break to the unique Barö Hotel, an ecologically-built, high-class property in the Barösund region of Inkoo, located within two hours by train from Helsinki. Make the most of longer summer days for exploring Finnish nature and embarking on exhilarating excursions around the Inkoo area; relax in Finnish saunas with a sea view, and behold the Midnight sun from a special 'Sunset terrace'.
Tour Itinerary
Fly from the UK to Helsinki, take the train to Karis Train Station (journey takes approximately 2 hours). On arrival, reach Barö Hotel by shuttle transfer and check in for your 3-night stay. In the evening, enjoy a delicious 4-course dinner at the hotel Restaurant, 'The Berg', and behold the 'midnight sun' from the hotel Sunset terrace from June until July. (D)
Today embark on a private guided 1.5 hours boat cruise. Discover the beautiful island of Orslandet, learn more about its history, and hear stories about the vikings and smugglers that used to live in the area told by your Captain. During the cruise enjoy a picnic lunch. Once returned to your hotel perhaps relax your body and mind with an optional massage or a warm sauna. (B,L)
After a hearty breakfast, spend your day at leisure indulging in the comforts of the Barö Hotel or setting off on one of the many guided excursions (e.g. biking, kayaking, horse riding) or complimentary activities (e.g. rod fishing, unguided berry picking) offered. Relax in a Finnish sauna and outdoor jacuzzi privately booked for you for 50 minutes as you enjoy an incredible sea view. (B)
After breakfast, transfer to Karis Train Station, and take your train to Helsinki Airport for your flight back to the UK. Alternatively, ask us to extend your stay in Helsinki for a few more days. (B)
