Tour Itinerary
Fly to Helsinki, collect your rental car and drive to the town of Asikkala. On arrival, check in for 7 nights in your cosy log cabin at Lehmonkärki Resort by lake Lake Päijänne, the second largest lake in Finland. Spend the evening at leisure enjoying the surrounding nature.
Spend the morning at leisure exploring the surroundings of your cosy accommodation or set off on an optional e-bike trip at Salpausselkä Geopark. In the afternoon, set off on a half-day guided boat trip to Päijänne National Park’s biggest island, Kelvenne, and enjoy a picnic lunch by open fire. (B,L)
Today drive to Lahti and spend a full day visiting the city at your own steam. Perhaps start off by visiting Lahti Marina area, walking through Wooden architecture park, Pro wooden gallery or Sibelius hall. From Lahti Ski jump tower enjoy wonderful views over the city and at the nearby Ski Museum try your athletic skills at ski jumping and laser biathlon shooting simulators - a fun activity for all the family. After breakfast, meet your guide and start exploring the Finnish Lakeland. Spend the day either hiking in lush forests or kayaking in pristine lakes*. (B)

Spend the day relaxing in your private sauna and hot tub or embark on an optional cycling excursion along the shores of lake Salajärvi. In the evening, get ready for an exciting fishing experience - also suitable for children and beginners - with a professional guide. Sail from the charming Vääksy Canal to Lake Vesijärvi and reach the best fishing spots. Try your skills at catching perch, pike and zander while enjoying the evening in the Finnish Lakeland. (B)
After breakfast, drive to Lahti for an e-mountain bike tour in Salpausselkä UNESCO Global Geopark area. In the afternoon, visit Koirakikka Husky Farm - meet the lovely Siberian huskies and learn more about them from your guide. (B)
Today is free for you to relax or to embark on optional excursions. Whether you want to learn how to bake a traditional Finnish 'Pulla' - a cardamom-spiced sweet loaf -, experience a 'herbal sauna', or hike through adventurous hiking trails there are plenty of great activities you can choose from. After breakfast, drive back to Helsinki airport, return your rental car and fly back to the UK. (B)
