Settle into your cabin and join a guided city tour of the Laotian capital, featuring highlights like the That Luang Stupa and Patuxai, known as the Arc de Triomphe of Vientiane. Return to the river vessel to relax on its spacious decks and lounge before the welcome reception and dinner, offering a variety of Asian and European food options throughout the cruise. (D)

Today marks the beginning of your Mekong River cruise experience. Throughout the day, the cruise takes you upriver, unveiling remarkable and impressive landscapes. In the afternoon, take in the beautiful views and observe the natural wonders along the Mekong's shores before your boutique ship anchors at a serene location for the night. (B,L,D)

Heading further north, the landscape becomes increasingly spectacular with hills adorned in tropical vegetation, impressive rock formations along the riverbanks, and a mix of rapid currents and slow rivulets. During the day, you explore the charming town of Salakham. The force of the mighty Mekong imparts a genuine expeditionary feel to your cruise. Enjoy the scenic views and observe the wonders of nature along the riverbanks before your ship heads north again and anchors for the night. (B,L,D)

This morning, make a stop at the small farming village Ban Don Saingam. Participate in a 30-minute trek to explore an exclusive hidden cave, accessible only to guests of Mekong River Cruises. The natural landscape is predominantly uninterrupted, with occasional views of small villages and local cattle herds. (B,L,D)

Have breakfast on board and appreciate the scenic view, possibly observing local fishermen along the shore. En route, take note of the Xayabouri Dam, Laos's largest hydroelectric power plant. In the afternoon, visit a small hill tribe village, regularly frequented by our guests and supported through donations. (B,L,D)

In the morning, participate in a guided shore excursion to Kuang Si Falls, renowned as among the most beautiful waterfalls in Laos. In the afternoon, arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage town of Luang Prabang. Bid farewell to the Laotian crew, complete check-out, and disembark your boutique ship.
