During your stay in the Tower Suite, wake to panoramic views of the ocean and the distant Lofoten peaks. Days are filled with guided hikes, sea eagle encounters, kayaking, and fresh seasonal dining prepared with local produce. Whether you’re walking through fields of Arctic flowers, learning the island’s history through interactive trails, or simply watching the midnight sun from the lighthouse windows, this is a retreat designed to nourish both curiosity and calm.
Tour Itinerary
Collect your hire car at the airport and head to Bø, Vesterålen. Leave the car at the docks to take your boat transfer to the island where you will spend the next three nights. (D)
After enjoying your first breakfast, join the owners for an immersive island adventure that feels like walking through an open-air museum. As you explore, QR codes along the route provide access to written and audio stories, photos, and illustrations that reveal the island’s rich and fascinating history. For those eager to get on the water, there is on offer supported kayaking with a designated guide, perfect for beginners. Alternatively, guests can try seaweed or wild herb harvesting. The island is also home to White-tailed Eagles, which may be spotted during a guided hike to the neighbouring island, where a refreshing swim and outdoor lunch at a white sandy beach await. (B,L,D)
Today embark on a thrilling sea eagle safari, where you glide across pristine Arctic waters surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Witness in awe as powerful sea eagles soar overhead with wingspans stretching up to two metres. Listen to their distinctive calls echoing as they hunt and glide effortlessly through the sky. You will learn about these magnificent raptors' behaviour, habitat and role in the fragile Arctic ecosystem. Please note that there is a choice of activities, so this is fluid and can change.(B,L,D)
After breakfast, take the boat back to your hire car and head to the airport for your flight back to the UK. (B)
