For early risers seeking adventure, a unique opportunity awaits with ocean swimming from Aqua Blu towards the island’s active volcano. Pulau Manuk is home to fish-hunting birds, sea snakes and reef sharks attracted to its underwater thermal springs. At sunrise, arrive at Pulau Ai & Pulau Run, the westernmost islands of the Banda archipelago. Dive, snorkel and swim in the crystal-clear waters, exploring stunning coral gardens and vibrant reef fish. Afterwards, disembark on Pulau Ai for a guided tour of Fort Revenge and its historic nutmeg storehouses. Spend the afternoon at a pristine beach on Pulau Run, famously traded for Manhattan Island in 1667 by the British and Dutch. The 60m Aqua Blu is the first-ever long-range ocean explorer yacht based in East Indonesia. It features 15 individually designed suites, refined social spaces, and innovative cuisine by renowned chef Benjamin Cross, who draws inspiration from Indonesia’s fabled spice trade route. Aqua Blu, with its naval pedigree, is perfectly suited to navigate Eastern Indonesia’s vast seas. Formerly the British Naval Explorer HMS Beagle and later a private yacht for a European aristocratic family, the vessel has been refurbished to world-class cruising specifications by Dutch yacht designer Cor D. Rover in 2019. The yacht meets the highest international safety classifications (RINA, SOLAS, ISM) and is equipped with Quantum Zero Speed stabilisers for optimal comfort, both at rest and while sailing.
The yacht's extensive range allows it to cover vast distances swiftly and comfortably, enabling explorers to experience varied and rewarding coastal cruise itineraries in this stunning region.
