Travelling from Bergen, your first stop on the tour is Ålesund. Your winter adventure includes two nights in charming Ålesund, one of Norway’s most beautiful coastal towns. Step aboard a boat for a once-in-a-lifetime Geirangerfjord winter cruise. Glide silently through the fjord, surrounded by icy cliffs and waterfalls like the Seven Sisters and the Bridal Veil, partly frozen, but still awe-inspiring. This rare winter experience offers something very few visitors get to see: the Geirangerfjord in winter, raw and powerful, yet peaceful and calm. Expert Fjord Rangers will share fascinating stories about how glaciers and natural forces shaped this UNESCO World Heritage landscape. (B)

Voted Europe’s most beautiful train journey by Lonely Planet, the Rauma Railway (Raumabanen) is a highlight of the tour. In winter, it’s even more spectacular: the train winds through the Romsdalen Alps, past frozen rivers, vertical cliffs, and snow-draped valleys. You will pass Trollveggen (Troll Wall), Europe’s tallest vertical rock face rising 1,700 meters from base to summit.
Your winter train journey continues through the scenic Gudbrandsdalen valley to Oslo. Enjoy peaceful winter landscapes from the comfort of a train. (B)
