The village of Furnas is situated beside the easternmost of the three spectacular caldera lakes on the island of São Miguel. Don’t miss the Terra Nostra gardens, where you can bath in a huge geo-thermal pool filled with warm, orange water - the unusual hue is a result of the high iron content. The gardens are amazing too.
