Halong Bay Holidays

Vietnamese legend has it that Halong Bay, or the bay of descending dragon as the name means, was carved by the tail and feet of a fleeing dragon creating large valleys and crevasses which filled with water, thus creating the bay we know today. Halong Bay is a beautiful area of the northern coast of Vietnam and comprises over 2000 limestone islands projecting from its calm waters.

Staying overnight on one of the various traditional junk boats is an experience not to miss on any Vietnam holiday, it allows you to explore the bay by kayak or on foot and end your day being lulled to sleep by the gentle sway of the boat.
