Turku is Finland's second city; previously it was the Finnish capital until 1812. Its top attractions are the imposing Turku Castle and impressive cathedral both dating from the 13th century. The city has a real buzz to it with its student population keeping cafes, bars and clubs busy until late in the evening. There are plenty of vibrant music festivals, designer boutiques and innovative restaurants to keep a visitor occupied as well.
