Family Adventure in Finnish Lapland

Fly to Kittilä Airport in Finnish Lapland and transfer to your Resort located approximately one hour away in the village of Muonio. Collect warm winter clothing for the adventure ahead and check into your hotel room or cabin. Dinner is served in the hotel restaurant. (D)

Reindeer Experience: Meet Lapland’s gentle reindeer and experience a piece of true northern tradition. Learn fun facts about reindeer herding, visit a historic museum to discover stories from the old days, and try your hand at throwing a 'suopunki', the Lappish lasso, just like the local herders do. Settle into a sleigh for a short reindeer ride through the beautiful Lapland scenery. Wrapped in warm blankets, sit back and enjoy the gentle rhythm of the reindeer as you admire the peaceful winter landscape.

Husky Experience*: Meet cheerful huskies and feel their excitement as they prepare to run. Start with a short introduction and safety briefing, then set off on your husky experience. Sit back and admire the spectacular scenery as a professional musher guides the sled, with each team reserved for one family to ensure a personal and memorable experience. Follow a trail through breathtaking snowy landscapes and enjoy the perfect blend of adventure and unforgettable Arctic scenery.

*Please note that adults travelling with children under 12 years old will sit in the sledge while a professional musher drives the team. For adults travelling with children over 12 years old, one guest will have the opportunity to drive the sledge while the others relax and enjoy the ride.

Snowmobile Experience: Get ready for an exciting adventure through Lapland’s sparkling winter landscapes. After a short driving and safety briefing, set off on a guided snowmobile safari across the snowy wilderness. Adults drive their own snowmobiles, while children travel safely and comfortably in a sledge pulled by the guide’s snowmobile. The route covers approximately 10–15 km – the perfect distance to experience the thrill of snowmobiling while enjoying the scenery at a relaxed, family-friendly pace.

Auora Evening Walk: Take a peaceful evening walk through snowy landscapes with your guide, leading you to a cosy campfire spot. Far from any city lights, enjoy warm drinks and cookies by the fire while keeping an eye on the northern sky. On clear nights, the stars sparkle above and if you’re lucky, the aurora may dance across the horizon. This short and easy walk is a gentle way to experience the stillness of Lapland at night, perfect for families and anyone who wants to slow down, breathe, and take it all in.
