Fly to Stockholm and take the train to the city of Uppsala. Check-in to the hotel and the rest of the day is free to explore.
Spend the day discovering this compact and charming city. Why not begin at the majestic Uppsala Cathedral, Scandinavia's largest? Wander to Uppsala Castle for sweeping city views. We recommend a visit to the Botanical Garden and Linnaeus Garden to discover Sweden's scientific heritage. When lunchtime rolls around, why not choose one of the many restaurants that offer dagens lunch, a daily special with salad, bread, and coffee. If you prefer something lighter, embrace fika, Sweden's coffee and cake ritual. Head to Güntherska Hovkonditori, Ofvandahls, or Café Linné Hörnan for coffee, sandwiches, and pastries like cinnamon buns or princess cake. (B)
