The tiny island of Gizo sits in the shelter of its larger island neighbours and boasts a pristine marine world which is a real draw for the international diving community. The small town of Gizo is home to a small waterfront market but the main attractions are further afield. Discover pristine coral reefs and dive sites just off the coast including an almost intact Japanese freighter dating back to WWII. Flop on the beach at nearby Fatboys Resort and snorkel off nearby Kennedy Island with its sprawling reef and colourful fish. Hike to the rim of the crater on neighbouring Kolombangara island which at 5,800ft is not for the fainthearted but for those few who attempt it the views are truly spectacular.
