Nam Cat Tien National Park is located roughly 150 kilometres north of Ho Chi Minh City and protects one of the largest areas of rainforest left in Vietnam. The park is home to roughly 1,800 species of plant life and a variety of animal and reptile life including crab-eating macaques, civets, mouse deer and yellow cheeked gibbons. The park offers good opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and bird-watching.
