Tainan Holidays

Tainan, the ancient capital of Taiwan, enjoys a warm climate year-round. It's the island's birthplace and the oldest city, with a history dating back to 1661 when Ming loyalist Cheng Cheng-kung established his administration there. Tainan served as the capital during various periods of Taiwan's history and remains rich in culture and history.Besides its historic and cultural attractions, Tainan offers a beautiful natural landscape and renowned agricultural products. Visitors can enjoy events like the Taiwan International Orchid Show in spring and the Yanshui Beehive Fireworks Festival in the lunar new year. Summer offers family-friendly activities like firefly watching and lotus viewing. In autumn, Dongshan welcomes visitors to sample locally grown Arabica coffee, and winter invites relaxation at the Guanziling mud springs.
