Today’s drive takes five-six hours, offering unforgettable views. Leaving Gangtey, the road climbs to Pele La Pass (3,300m) and winds through forests and cliffs. You’ll spot Trongsa from afar, where we visit Trongsa Dzong and its museum with great views. Then, continue to Jakar in Bumthang Valley, crossing Yotong La Pass (3,425m). Enjoy a gentle three-hour hike through villages and rice fields to Changu Narayan Temple, one of the oldest temples in Kathmandu, dating back to the fourth century, with stunning stone carvings and sacred Hindu icons. Afterwards, transfer to Bhaktapur for lunch and explore its medieval art and architecture, including the Lion Gate, Golden Gate, and Palace of Fifty-Five Windows.
