Hotel Arctic is the world’s most northerly 4-star hotel, located right on the edge of the Ilulissat Ice Fjord - a wonder of the world which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The main hotel building is located about 100 metres from the coast. Hotel Arctic has 76 rooms and 9 suites. In addition, the hotel has 7 new glass Aurora Cabins built right on the edge of the coast and connected to the hotel by a boardwalk. So enjoy northern lights from around mid-September to late March from your own bed. And during summer months enjoy views of floating icebergs under the midnight sun.
The Restaurant Ulo serves Greenlandic cuisine and is recognised as one of the very best in the whole country. The restaurant serves as much local food as possible and produce most of it themselves. Ingredients such as musk-ox, reindeer, Greenland halibut, Arctic hare and sea urchins are on the menu. Herbs are collected in the fells: sheep sorrel, knot weed, mountain sorrel etc. The hotel also has the Café Ferdinand and the Ice Bar. In summer buffets are served on the terrace, with views to the town of Ilulissat and icebergs floating by.
