We are currently living through an unprecedented time of uncertainty and, considering the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) advice against all non-essential worldwide travel for 30 days from 16 March, we understand that you may be concerned about your upcoming holiday plans.

We have been providing you with tailor-made holidays for over 40 years and, during this time, the travel industry has experienced its fair share of turbulence. We have risen to every challenge, no matter how big or small, and come out the other side with a strength, unity and knowledge that is invaluable to our clients in times like these. Please be reassured that our fantastic team of Travel Specialists remains dedicated, empathetic and committed to doing everything possible to remain as flexible as we can. 

No matter how the global landscape changes, we remain committed to honouring our trusted reputation and delivering reassurance, flexibility and support when it is needed most. The safety and wellbeing of our clients and staff is our highest priority and our team are working extremely hard to proactively contact our customers who are due to travel to impacted areas imminently.  

What will happen if my holiday has been or may be affected? 

We are pleased to have repatriated all of our clients who were travelling overseas and wished to return in line with FCO advice. We have also now spoken to all clients who have been affected by the 30-day travel restrictions that have been put in place. As we are in uncertain times and there are no timescales as to when this situation may change, we are proactively contacting all of our clients who have holiday arrangements with us and are due to depart before 30 June, to offer support and help secure alternative arrangements – including the opportunity to postpone holidays to a later date, with the knowledge that if the world starts to travel again before then we will bring travel dates forward. 

Can I still get in contact with you? 

Though our offices are physically closed, behind the scenes we are still operating as usual. Every member of our team is working from home, and we are working full steam ahead to be there for our clients, whatever you need. Since the beginning of this unprecedented situation we have been working around the clock, and have been able to answer client calls within 30 seconds to make sure we’re there for you. 

Am I financially protected with Regent Holidays? 

As a fully bonded member of ABTA and ATOL, we offer financial protection on our bookings in accordance with the official rules and regulations. What this means for you is that any payments to us are protected, regardless of changes in the travel industry.  
 
We know that your passion for incredible travel experiences will not have diminished in the slightest, and we will continue to do what we do best so you can continue booking with us in the utmost confidence. 

What will you do with regards to my upcoming holiday? 

We have been in contact with clients impacted by the FCO advice and Covid-19 related travel restrictions to offer support and to help amend any holidays to a suitable date later in the year or in 2021. We want to make sure that your holiday plans can still go ahead, so we’re working to our full capability to help rearrange your travels. 

What if I no longer wish to travel at all?  

Those who for some reason do not wish to go ahead with their holiday plans at a later date are advised to contact their travel insurers in the first instance. Many insurers have accepted liability and promptly paid out based on the complete shut-down of passenger airline travel directed by the FCO, and as a result this is the quickest route to receiving any funds back. 
 
As your tour operator, we can provide you with all the necessary documents needed to assist the insurer and your claim.

Can I book a holiday to travel in the future? 

As it has done so many times before, the industry will return to normality. What could be a better way to dispel the lingering effects of such uncertain times than planning your next luxury holiday? We are currently booking holidays that depart on or after 15 July 2020, and will keep you updated if this date changes.

How do I keep up to date with the latest travel advice? 

We highly recommend you sign up to receive the latest FCO Travel Advice for any countries involved in any upcoming travels. Staying up-to-date with the latest information is particularly important in this rapidly changing situation and this is the best way to do so.
