Staying at the 4-star Novotel Moscow Centre Hotel explore the Kremlin and the famous Armoury Chamber, pass by the Red Square, walk along the old Arbat Street, and visit the Gorki Leninskie Sanatorium - the place where Vladimir Lenin died - now hosting three museums in his honour.

Tour Itinerary

Fly to Moscow. Transfer to the hotel and check-in for four nights. (B)
Awake in Moscow and discover the Old Arbat Street for a morning walking and shopping tour of Moscow’s famous thoroughfare. Originally forming a key part of the trade route into Moscow, the street developed into a district for nobility and parliamentary members, before becoming home to artists and intellectuals. The historic influences of Old Arbat combined with its more recent revival as a lively shopping district make it an eclectic and interesting place to spend several hours exploring. In the afternoon, continue to Tretyakov Gallery to admire the world renowned collection of Russian fine art. (B)

In the morning, embark on a half-day excursion to the Gorki Leninskie Sanatorium. This is the place where Vladimir Lenin died and the estate, located in the suburbs of Moscow, has three museums in his honour. After lunch, return to Moscow and depart on a three-hour sightseeing tour of the capital by coach, passing key sights such as Red Square and the Bolshoi Theatre. The knowledgeable guide will provide a detailed and interesting insight into the history of Moscow and the main points of interest. The tour is an excellent way to appreciate the enormity of the city. (B, L)
Today head to one of Moscow’s most iconic attractions, the Kremlin, for a half day tour including the Armoury Chamber which was built in 1841 as a weapons and arm factory and now houses Russian treasures ranging from religious icons to Fabergé eggs. Spend the afternoon at leisure (Please note: excursion time to be confirmed locally by your tour leader). (B)
Spend the day at leisure before transfer to airport for flight back to the UK. (B)
