Fly to Almaty via Astana
Arrive in Almaty and meet your guide and transfer to the Lesnaya Skazka Ski Resort amongst the majestic hills of Zailiyskiy Alatau. The resort not only offers access to the slopes of the Tien Shan Mountains but has an ice arena, climbing park, horse-riding, paintball and a spa. It's a short drive from Almaty (about 40 minutes). On arrival check-in and have the afternoon at leisure - or hit the slopes straightaway - ski-rental is available in resort.
Spend the day exploring the ski area where the slopes are much quieter than in Europe and where the challenges are altogether different. Or head to the spa for some relaxation. (B)
Take advantage of the excellent off-piste opportunities or continue carving the well-groomed pistes. There are several activities available as well, along with a spa for those looking for a little more relaxation. (B)

After breakfast transfer back to Almaty, previously the capital of Kazakhstan. Meet your guide for a city tour visiting the Central State Museum, Place of the President, Green Bazaar, and Panfilov Park as well as many other sites (approx. 6 hour tour). At the end of the tour check-in to your hotel and have the evening at leisure. (B)
Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK. (B)
