Elin Fry

Elin has recently joined the Regent Holidays team as a Travel Specialist. Raised by the sea in Stockholm, Sweden, Elin has previously worked as Operations Manager for Scandinavian Perspectives, before moving to Bristol in 2006.

Having travelled all over the world extensively since the age of 18, Elin offers a unique insight into her specialist destinations. She regularly returns to Sweden with her family and loves to ensure clients get the best and most authentic experiences while visiting her home country and its neighbouring regions.  

With a few of my colleagues, I had the opportunity to visit Lapland for a few days one snowy November. We immersed ourselves in some incredible wintry experiences and had the unique pleasure of meeting the man in red himself! We checked out our favourite accommodation options in and around Rovaniemi including the rather chic Arctic Treehouse. 

I had the opportunity to represent Regent Holidays at a trade show in my home country of Sweden, where I met with existing partners and explored new experiences. During this visit, I also enjoyed a few days of kayaking in the Stockholm Archipelago. 

My most recent travel experience was to Norway with a couple of my team-mates, We began our trip in Tromso before taking the Havila cruise to Trondheim. Havila Voyage showcased exceptional standards, with remarkable food, panoramic views, and a seamless check-in process. The Havila Gold Package provided an exclusive experience, making the trip feel uncrowded despite some lively night stops at ports. We then picked up car and made our way south to Bergen. 

Exploring Norway by car offered a glimpse into its picturesque towns, including Alesund, Loen, and Bergen. From the famous sky lift in Loen to the vibrant city of Bergen, each destination left a lasting impression. The ease of navigating Norway's road system during the summer months added to the overall enjoyable experience. Ferries played a significant role in our two-day drive, providing an easy and frequent mode of transportation. The process was seamless, with no pre-booking required!
